  • Good Morning,

As some of you may know, I am Tim Grosjean and I work for Peterborough and the Kawarthas Tourism as a Travel Counselor/Special Projects Coordinator. Over my last 1 1/2 years the one major special project that I have been working on is gathering information on the Sport Tourism sector. There are over 200,000 sporting events held in Canada each year , which contributes to $2.4 Billion in total tourism spending annually. This being said, due to the great work by the newly formed RTO 8 (Regional Tourism Organization) we have a great opportunity in our community to be apart of professional development session focusing on leveraging the sports tourism market. The great thing about these sessions is they are free and lunch/dinner is provided, who doesn't love a free meal!!

I have attended these type of sessions before and know they are filled with great information and since we are all sport enthusiasts they are very interesting, even exciting at times. So I would like to ask for your help in spreading the word and let your fellow sport enthusiasts know about this free community event. The workshop is being held at the Omemee Coronation Hall (only 10-15 min drive) from 4-8 pm, and remember dinner is included. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. Please click here for more information and to register.

Thank you and it will be great to see you there,
